It is one of the few games of the year were every seat is filled with baseball fans full of hope and joy for the coming season. On opening day there are no lingering doubts from prolonged losing streaks or unmet expectations. It is the one day of the year where the standings do not matter and the World Series seems possible. In this piece, we take a blast from the past in comparing two of the best Kansas City Royals closers ever: Dan Quisenberry and Joakim Soria. One main reason that I really wanted to compare these two superstars is because the Royals have been my favorite team since I was very young and both of these guys are fun to watch. Aaron Crow made the team after a dominant spring, where he showcased all of his talents and appeared to look like the player that they thought they were getting when they used him for their first round selection in the 2009 MLB Draft.
